Join me for a scenic ride along Route 14 of the National Cycle Network! We’re starting from Broom Park, just outside Durham, and heading to Consett.
This 12-mile route is fantastic for families, walkers, and cyclists of all abilities. It’s mostly flat with just a few small inclines, making it a very accessible and enjoyable day out.
Whether you’re looking for a peaceful solo ride or a family adventure, Route 14 has something for everyone.

Nice video. What bike are you on?
Another brilliant bike track, traffic free. Thanks for the ride out John🙂
In the dry its ok or doable on a road bike with heavier tyres like most of Sustrans routes. Route 45 round my area is over 300miles long if you want a big day out on the bike :).
Great video as usual. It looks a really nice scenic route, well done John 😊
