Every year, thousands of cyclists take to the streets of London in one of the world’s most unusual public demonstrations. Supporters say it’s about cycling safety, environmental awareness, body positivity, and freedom of expression. Critics raise concerns around public nudity, child safeguarding, public decency, and social impact.

Instead of making assumptions, I spoke directly to the people taking part.

• Why do people ride naked?
