Hello! I finally completed this dream bike of mine. The frame I bought fought me very hard but it worked out. Fully kitted with Duraace 7402 which I found for decent (not cheap) price on ebay. I love the downtube shifters. Upgraded the brake callipers to dual pivots duraace 7403. I had to swap out the fork, last pic was the original, but the crown race seat was sanded down too much by the previous owner, so I had to use loctite and the race is now forever on that fork. Also this Kotter fork has more tire clearance (original 23mm to 28mm).
I got the frame because of the paintjob, and built it up neo retro with Shimano Claris groupset. Then I tried a bike with Shimano 600 with downtube shifters and fell in love with downtube shifters. The rest is history.
This bike rides smooth like butter. Combination of the frame and the mavic open 4 CDs wheelset absorbs little bumps.
