The McLaren team urgently needs to return to the factory. They must shed excess weight from the MCL40 and improve the car in every respectβincluding downforce, diffuser, floor, wings, suspension, center of gravity, straight-line and cornering speeds (across low, medium, and high-speed corners), traction on corner entry and exit, mechanical grip, and tire managementβwhile also learning how to optimize and extract the full potential of the Mercedes power unit.
Landoβs driving and the car were awesome – the analysis shows he was an easy podium without the 3x longer pit stop and poor strategy call, and possibly even bette.
