A man has been jailed after leaving a 22-year-old pedestrian with life-changing injuries when he hit him whilst riding a motorbike dangerously, at high speed and whilst intoxicated.
There will be a day where we will all go from being an upstanding citizen to being a piece of crap because in Britain there are not much consequences. You can literally get away with un aliving someone and get a pittance manslaughter conviction of five or six years and let out early because the jails are getting would fuller.😮
I have just submitted an application that the sentence should be reviewed as being unduly lenient. The maximum sentence for causing serious injury by dangerous driving is FIVE years. Kenny was sentenced to two-and-a-half years at Teesside Crown Court on 1 June 2026.
Anyone can do this for a sentence imposed by the Crown Court. Just google "review unduly lenient sentence".
30 months.. absolute state of this country. There are no words really, I feel angry and sorry to Ryan and his family for not only the accident but for the lack of justice this pathetic joke of a justice system provides.
Whether he intentionally or not, he has changed someone’s life forever as well as the loved ones and friends of the victim.
He did intentionally and knowingly, drank 6 pints of larger and take drugs, as well as rode the motorcycle, knowingly that he had no license or insurance, he’s choice and intention, no one forced him.
So in my personal opinion 30 months is no way long enough, as he has caused grievous bodily harm with intent and should have received a much longer sentence.
The comments about the punishment are ridiculous, life in prison? Yes he deserves a very long sentence, maybe 10 years, he had no intent,he didn't kill anyone and he was if previous good character
The Biggest Criminal here ? The JUDGE ! ….30 Frikkiin months ! … 1 , he never took a bike test …so no Roadcraft whatsoever… 2 Of COURSE he wasn't insured …he NICKED the Bike ..! 3 , Took Coke 4, Got Pissed 5, Rode about like a twat Thats the result. Its 5 years for me minimum … I truly hope the victim makes a full recovery …😊
30 months????? A friend of mine got four years for sending a text message to someone who owed him money (the guy had the money, but always made out he was broke). In a stupid moment of anger, he sent a message saying "Nice holiday in Spain? You're taking the piss. I'm coming round to get the money I lent you tomorrow, and if you dont have it, I'm going to batter you on your doorstep. Had enough mate".
Stupid, yes. But my friend was 42 years old and never had so much as a speeding ticket before that. This other guy was out buying new designer clothes, going on holidays, always out on the town.
Four years! 18 months of that was in a Cat-B hellhole (Leicester).
They claim they want it to stop "not on our streets" yet when someone is convicted they get the a "slap on the wrist"….. Which to most of these kids is absolutely no big deal, it's like their favorite video game being reset is all… 30 months is a "slap in the face and a slap on the wrist" in justice to the victim, their family and society as a whole. And you wonder why these kids are running wild on the streets…. No accountability…. From the "parenting" to the criminal justice system….
He should be baged and tagged for that disgusting behaviour. The system needs to be changed . Cars should be like guns you should be checked and no one
The devil's juice is poisonous to society yet it's legal and available everywhere 24/7, people would be surprised at the amount of people being under the influence of drink or drugs in every corner of society including police and judges and politicians etc,but it's too big of an industry with millions upon millions of people being employed from it and big tax revenue nothing will change. I'm sure if it was the judges son it would be a different sentence. I truly hope the man recovers.

Pathetic sentence. He knew what he was doing but still went ahead and did it.
Who's side are the courts on ? Not on the inocent. They just give the low life scum a slap on the wrist. Boils my piss.

just keep selling booze to alcoholics, no problem.
As ever, the courts hand out lame justice. I hope the victim sues the crap out of this idiot and gets some real compensation.
Little flange .
I got 3 years for driving fast at 1 am. Joke
He got away with that then
Unforgivable. But it heartens me to see how many people ran to help Ryan. There are still good people about 🙏🏼
Thirty months is a bloody joke.
That poor guy in the hospital is going to lose so much.😢
Shocking sentence but im not surprised at all. If there’s no
room in prisons build more prisons..
Sentence not long enough
Why are you making out that “Liam” is some how a victim? Poor Ryan I hope you’re resting up getting well.

Gorgeous young man; he'd make a fortune @ OF!

Room any young idiots out there taking chances. The young have got to know there are consequences to their terrible choices.
30 moon for that? he should have got at least a 4 year? That impact was monstrous.
That the bike's tank burst could be seen as an endangerment to property if it had ignited!
30 months is not nearly enough for attempted murder
I’m sure we are all wishing your son a full recovery.i can not imagine what hell you are going through as a father, stay strong mate .

🙁
2 years per pint consumed + 5 for the Cocaine, seems a bit more like it to me
Justice system is a joke
Shouldn't one be working at 12:44 pm?????

Driving drunk / high should be treated as manslaughter at least.
bring back capital punishment for these selfish mindless yobs – only way to bring back respect
He should be baged and tagged for that disgusting behaviour. The system needs to be changed .
Cars should be like guns you should be checked and no one
EXECUTE
They seem to prioritise driving offences over the damage they do when sentencing. Absolutely disgusting
