No matter how nice the person, it's still the same heavy piece of steel when the vehicle hits you. And at the moment it happens, the driver is not even aware you are there. A few minutes later, they'll say you "came out of nowhere".
Polite lady but still placing at others at risk (as do impatient drivers).

Yup. If a loved one were killed by a phone using driver I wouldn't take any solace from knowing the person was an otherwise nice person. Good people do bad things. That doesn't make the good person "bad" but equally it doesn't make the bad thing "good". It's still a good person doing a bad thing that they have to take responsibility for and learn from.
Hopefully she'll change her behaviour. Those who lie and swear as their reaction when they see you are beyond hope.
