If they gonna run them super tall stems they need to make the bike longer and longer chainstay to center the body.. otherwise loosing the front is real
Brian what pedals are you using for rocky/rooty trails? Nukeproofs still worth it in 2026?
4 vids in a week, goddam
Bro Reeses suspension looked so good definitely track suited well said hope he can get up on podium more this season
Does the benefit of the stem really outweigh fighting washing out multiple times in a race run?
I bet them teams don't have those runs broken down like this
Bemore bikes must currently be writing a lengthy piece on how his stem is the second coming of jesus and all those front washes are due to suspension setup and the fact that reece isn’t riding his steel one person tandem.
These guys are insane, still blows my mind how close the times are. That is unless you’re on a demo 💉
Love these analysis videos, keep em coming if u can !
My opinion and super simple, the tires Reese is running are better for these washed out dusty loose conditions. Asa made a bad tire call.
Cheers man, interesting stuff!
About Reece setup take in count that has more aerodynamic resistance and for such a highspeed track is not neglegible effect.
About the problems on the steer I would say (I'm on a similar setup) that you learn how to avoid that and plays a small part compared to the benefits it gives. You should try the BMB v2, with 60mm less of height compared to the one you tryed I think you'll find it works better, Bronson is constantly experimenting and allways has something super extreme on the bike and that usually is not the best.
If I'm not wrong you like something on 480 reach so I would suggest a bike with 470CS, 63 or 62HA, and a mid rise bar rolled forward and the stem will work perfect, the Geometron is a good base, the newer ones has improved and get a lot closer to what you'll need. (my bike is completly custom geo)
really enjoying the insights, keep em coming!
sick breakdown
Brilliant analyse, Sherlock Cahal, brilliant.. 👍
Great breakdown of the the different techniques. This is perhaps the most interesting mountain bike videos i've ever watched
I was really hoping you’d drop this analysis
Itd be cool to see reece or asa do a reaction vid/response to your analysis. Would be very interesting to hear them break down their runs and respond to your thoughts.
High stem is about controlling weight over front wheel. Washing out also involves suspension settings like rebound damping, line and tyre choice.
