It become loose while riding, suddenly felt it while riding as it blocked my shifting a bit. Bit looser than on the left side. Right shifter, 1×12 setup. Anyone have experience with this?

That piece should be held in place by a small screw, and I found mine pretty loose when the bike was new. Lift the rubber cover (carefully) and check if it’s still there (though clearly unthreaded)
Oh man, mine does the same thing. Right (2×12) shifter only, and it doesn’t affect the shifting, it’s just disconcerting and a bit annoying. Haven’t bothered inspecting it too closely yet to figure out if there’s some way to fasten it again. Hope someone replies with an answer so I can lazily reap the reward …
The shifter cover is also quite loose, it never went back into shape after I had them flipped back for installing the cables. Not impressed by the quality, tbh.
Mine came loose the other day. More on one side than the other. Small phillips head screw to do up and you’re good again!!
There’s a screw holding it in. I had to retighten mine when I replaced my bar tape after about a year. Just tighten it up and you’re good to go.
Tighten the little screw under the hood, mine backed out too and I thought I’d broken something expensive for a solid ten minutes.
I consistently have this problem with my 105 shifters, and even tightening the screw with loctite doesn’t work, I think it’s just a bad design.
I slide the hood off, wrap some black electrical tape around the whole thing, then slide the hood back over. It’s a neat looking fox and the only thing I’ve found that holds long term.
