Just curious to hear people thoughts. I think they are pretty fun for that throwback style. Actually seeing Kareem Williams get his face saved by bar pads recently made me think maybe they are actually functionally useful too haha. I mean, I think that was always the idea behind them, right? Just hadn't seen it in action until that clip haha.

That is a dope one
OG S&M pads are king. Very close second are Flight Pads. If you were able to get a 2nd stem pad to wrap around your stem, you were doubly safe.
Personally I think it makes a bike look ugly.
As a kid in the 90s I thought Bomber Pads were the shit
That specific top tube pad or nothing.
Check out The Yea pads if you haven’t already.
All kinds of really cool Hand made pads.
And the stem buddy could definitely save your knees
I love me some pads. I’ve got a Sunday pad on my handlebars and some from the Yea on my stem and top tube. I wish there were more options available.
I bought a set in 2012 when they seemed to be getting some traction again and took them off after a few days. It’s cool for some setups just not for me.
I’d put ’em on a resto but couldn’t bring myself to put a set on a modern bike.
It gets a pass for being S&m.
