I'm looking at buying a Specialized Sirrus X 2.0, 2024 model (seller says it was bought about two years ago for their son but has hardly been used).
The asking price is £300, and they've even offered to deliver it to me from about half an hours drive away. As you can see from the photos below, its a bit dirty and has a couple chips in the paint, but according to seller, otherwise runs like new. Comes with rear mudguard, bar and frame bags.
Do the photos suggest normal light use, or do you see anything that would concern you? Any other things I should check before handing over the money?
Alternatively, Ive also got the option of a Pinnacle Cerium for 275 which I had the chance to test out yesterday. Runs well, and thinking I might be able to haggle down even a little further. Supposedly only a few months old with less than 50km on it. Comes with Shimano Cues groupset, WTB 45mm 700c tyres , Tektro hydraulic disk brakes. Cycling UK (charity) recommended, although is big store brands own bike (Evans Cycles).
Keen to hear folks thoughts, fairly new to cycling myself so hard to make heads and tails of this stuff.

i would go for the Pinnacle, since speciallized Bikes have bad Values for money… at least the Shimano cues is pretty solid for everyday drive. And tbh I like the blue too
Both good bikes for the right price. Seem a little steep to me, but it depends on where you are in the country I guess. The gearing on the Sirrus is maybe a bit limited. For context, there’s this at Millets brand new, with a code floating around (JDO_DOFE_LEAD_J0FV) which makes it £315 delivered. Considering how similar they are, I don’t think I’d want to pay more than £200 for the Pinnacle even if it’s barely been used.
