In 2002, near Kassel, Germany, the renowned Bhutanese lama Lopön Tsechu Rinpoche gave a cycle of 28 empowerments to the students of Lama Ole Nydahl from the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

During the ceremony, Lama Ole and Hannah Nydahl presented an exhibition dedicated to the development of Karma Kagyu Buddhist centers around the world, showing their history, geography, and scale.
