I Threw Myself Down a Dam Wall (Don’t Ask). Riding Trails One Minute, Roly Poly the Next.
Whilst enjoying the mountain biking trails at North Third Reservoir, Stirling, Big Stoozer briefly forgot he was human and decided to demonstrate his Roly Poly superpowers by launching himself down the dam wall… for science.
Miraculously, he survived without injury, much to the relief (and uncontrollable laughter) of his mate David. Sense had clearly left the building.
⚠️ Do not try this at home. Big Stoozer certainly won’t be trying it again… probably.

I completed this mountain biking adventure with Dave Richardson from the town of Hawick in the Scottish Borders. Whilst cycling alongside Bannock Burn we imagined Scottish Clansmen walking the same route to join Robert The Bruce’s army prior to the actual ‘Battle of Bannockburn’.

The Battle of Bannockburn:
The Battle of Bannockburn was fought on 23–24 June 1314, between the army of Robert the Bruce, King of Scots, and the army of King Edward II of England, during the First War of Scottish Independence. It was a decisive victory for Robert Bruce and formed a major turning point in the war, which ended 14 years later with the de jure restoration of Scottish independence under the Treaty of Edinburgh–Northampton. For this reason, the Battle of Bannockburn is widely considered a landmark moment in Scottish history.
