      A small dent in the top tube is not the end of the bike. As long as that’s the only damage, go ahead and ride it.

      I wouldn’t ride it. Large dent in the center of an aluminum tube seems like it could fail pretty bad. I’m on the cautious side of these things typically, so maybe another person with more experience can chime in.

      Contact the shop you purchased it from. Some companies offer crash replacement discounts, and some shops I’ve worked at would try to hook you up with even more if possible.

      I’ve ridden bikes with way worse dents. I’d send it and watch for cracks or signs of further damage.

      Welcome to the CAAD club. Who doesn’t have a top tube dent on their CAAD? Lol

      I had the same thing but on the top of the top tube and put many many miles on it before selling to a dude who was planning to put many miles on it too. I did have it checked out by a mechanic though.

      CAADs are tough bikes, top tube dents are pretty common in the club. That tube doesn’t see much stress compared to your down tube or head tube area, so a small bump like that is usually cosmetic. I had a similar ding on my old CAAD10 and put two more seasons on it without issue.

      The real thing to watch for is whether a crack starts forming at the dent over time. Run your fingernail across it to feel for sharp edges starting, and check it every few weeks. If you spot a line extending from the dent, that’s when you park it.

      If you want peace of mind, a local shop can do a dye penetrant test pretty cheap. But I’d send it and not stress too much.

      OK and normal on caad frame. I have very similar but slightly deeper dent on my caad5

      It’s fine. It is a small dent with no defined crimp or crease. I’d have no second thoughts about riding it.

      Based on the age of the bike, and damage bordering on cosmetic, a crash replacement would denied, or (at best) be pro-rated to the point of being pennies on the dollar. (& if you’re not the original owner, a crash replacement will not be offered)

      I’ve had a similar dent for years on my gravel bike. Been riding it hard, sometimes fully loaded for bikepacking, with no issues. Just keep an eye on it.

      i wouldn’t take it in any black diamonds but you’ll get years out of it still

      Basically every CAAD10 ends up this way after the pile up in the criterium. I wouldn’t hesitate to ride this.

      Ruins the aerodynamics…. Jk I think it’s fine. tap with a wrench and see if it sounds cracked. Watch for rust or paint chipping though.
