    We Raced A Gravel Pro For 360km. How Much Quicker Was He?



    We’re taking on an insane cycling challenge: riding the ultimate 360km gravel route around London! Alex and Si attempted to complete a gruelling loop that encircles the capital, passing through stunning countryside while dodging infamous London traffic. Joined by professional gravel racer Jenson Young from the Ribble Outliers Pro Gravel Team, they put their endurance, gear, and resolve to the ultimate test.

      This has to be the video of the year so far. A great challenge and challenger, wonderful on-bike and drone photography with music to match and an absolutely astonishing performance by Jensen (and the two old guys didn't do too badly either).

      Pretty sure the 30+ heat did for you . Try again in the Spring or September time. Looks amazingly good to ride in stages . Maybe 3 x 100km rides.

      24:53 To see Si talking about suffering, only for the camera to turn around and seeing Alex on the ground dying of death is quite hilarious. But jokes aside, this was an amazing video, the editing, the flow of the video, the insane amount of suffering and the amazing perfomance by Alex, Si and Jenson make it a memorable video which shows how much fun and beauty can be found on a bike.
      Also what Jenson did is nothing short of a miracle, the pace he did for more than 14 hours is just amazing and it is just insane to see what pro gravel rides can do on two wheels!

      There's worse places to get stuck out than Marlow high street! (Hometown for me, odd seeing it on one of your videos)!
      Crazy ride guys, anything over 200km is an epic by anyone's standards. On gravel too, and at pace!

      Oh to be young again and have all of that energy. Unfortunately, with age you slow down and the recovery gets harder. Wait until you get to 60 years of age guys.
      I am hoping to take on LEJOGLE in spring 2027, providing my treatment is successful and I can recover from it. Obviously not in a Dr Sarah Ruggins style, my attempt will be over a longer period for sure and for one of two charities, either Prostate Cancer, or Cycling for kids with Cancer, or maybe both. Fingers crossed I get the chance to actually do it. Love the video lads!

      I recommend the trail around Berlin, where the wall used be. It's a few kilometers. The part within the city is not all that much fun, but to the west where it borders to Brandenburg are a few nice spots.
      Anyway, unbelievable ride. Great job. Thank you for sharing the experience.

      GCN needs to go race the people at Mid South in 2027 – 100 mile, early March in Oklahoma and still holds the 'spirit of gravel' to heart! 360km (or 223miles) is intense, especially with all the twists and turns, rather than the long straight aways that a lot of normal gravel races have.

      What an epic event, torturing ride. Very well done and Jenson just WOW. Can we call him a friend of the show and maybe a future presenter, just a cool guy.
