I was in portland for a couple of weeks on a work trip, and checked out some of the local bike shops. Something cycles was cool, also golden pliers

I wish people were into bikes like this where I live. 70,000 people in the city limits that ends up as 100,000 in the surrounding area and there’s one bike shop that’s just an old curmudgeon doing repairs by himself.
There’s some road riders that ride as a group once a week, but they’re all elitist assholes (doctors, lawyers, pharma reps, restaurant owners) driving G wagons and Maseratis riding 15,000 dollar bikes that will openly shit on your 853 steel frame rim brake road bike with a 2x when you show up.

One of the only downsides of getting off of Insta is missing event notices for stuff like this.
Something Cycles rules.

how’d you keep a group that size together through the city without losing people at every red light. that’s always the tricky part when more than like 8 people show up
