Hey guys, recently put my bike on an indoor direct drive trainer and suddenly had an issue where the chain wouldn’t sit on the smallest gear even when shifted to the lowest setting. This issued carried on even when replacing with the actual rear wheel as seen in the picture above. Additionally, the piece of wire housing started to hit the spokes because of the way its positioned (never happened before). Would greatly appreciate any ideas or solutions!

You need to show pics from different angles.
Agree need better pics. Without anything else, I’d release the cable at the fixing bolt to see if the derailleur drops to the highest gear provided the high limit screw does not need adjustment too

When you shift all the way up to the smallest gear, springs should let the derailleur contract completely and your HI-Screw marked by the red circle should be in touch with the arm on which the cable is pulling.
Obiviously your cable is under excessive tension. Either it is to tight due to improper routing or the ferrule stands of at the derailleur, which I marked on the left side. Cable tension probably not setup correctly.
