I'm happy for MVdP, he's a great classics rider
He kept burning Phillipson out on the lead out so decided to do it on his own ππ
Pulling the breakaway half of the day and still winning the sprint is massive

A classic van der Poel victory: He has to deliver a win because no one else on his team is currently capable of doing so. And even though everyone knows heβll attack on this stage, he makes it into the decisive group. He keeps the breakaway group going, encourages them, and even takes the lead for long stretches. On the final long climb, he attacks to thin out the group. And in the end, he launches a relentless sprint to the finish. To me, that's what makes a top-notch cyclist: the ability to win even without a top-tier team!
clever movement before finish.
Biggest man in the peloton lowkey⦠miring..
The guy is in the lead pack and wins the sprint at the endβsensational MVDP !!
He earned every bit of that one!
