Join me for a walk along the beautiful Brean Down Way from Brean Village to Weston-Super – Mare.
Once in Weston, there is a glorious sunset to end the day with and we will have a little look at the Knife Angel sculpture, which is currently on display there in the Italian Gardens (May 2024).
I really enjoyed making this video so much on such a lovely sunny May afternoon and evening.
I mentioned that I took the buses from Taunton to Brean.
I caught Bus 21 from Taunton to Burnham on Sea
and then
Bus 20 from Burnham on Sea to Brean Village.
This route starts from the far end of the village if you are heading there from the Burnham direction. Just opposite the Parish Hall and the ‘Welcome to Brean Sign’.

Awesome. Lovely video
Great video Louise. This is a walk that we've been wanting to do for ages so it was nice to see what the route looks like. We were also in Weston-super-Mare yesterday walking to Sand Bay through the woods. We saw the Knife Angel as well. Jessie was also by the Knife Angel yesterday as he's done a video of it. We didn't see him though unfortunately. The sunset was amazing & a great end to the video. ๐๐
Lovely panoramic views from on top of the hill by St Nicholas Church, it must have been satisfying to reach W.S.M and rewarded with such a spectacular sunset.
Wonderful! I canโt wait to sit down and watch this
This was exactly what I needed to watch after a mega hectic day! I canโt believe you made this after doing a park run! I loved the crazy fencing – this is something I would probably do unintentionally ! And an amazing end to a lovely walk – wow wow I ! Absolutely stunning sunset – possibly the best on the south west . I do need to see this one day ! Thanks Louise !
Enjoyed this ,thank you Louise. I went to Weston-Super-Mare as a small child for a holiday. It was over 50 years ago though so it was great to watch this as I don't remember much about it. Will have to return there one day. This walk looks wonderful. Thank you for sharing this with us. The sunset is amazing. Best wishes Dave and Dawn โค๏ธ
Great walk Louise. I have never seen that part of Weston-super-Mare before. You were like the Duracell Bunny. Suddenly you had diverted up to the church AND the old windmill ๐๐โโ๏ธ. Great views too. ๐ ๐
Enjoyed that thanks… Haven't been weston for a year or 2. I'll have to get along to do a video at some point
Beautiful scenery and a wonderful video Louise. Lovely music โค๏ธ๐น
Fantastic! Thank you Louise.
Lovely video and lovely sunset shots Louise, I'm going to be one of those people who does this walk the other way once I've done pier to pier way which links Clevedon Pier to the Grand Pier. I'm looking forward to it even more now, like you I thought it was a longer walk (maybe they're including Brean Down in their mile count?)
Beautiful video, amazing walk. Louise, you are very likeable and all the videos are great.๐๐ค๐
Gorgeous walk Louise, thank you. Really enjoyed watching. Peaceful and loved the background music. Your legs must have been hanging off after doing the pack run too! ๐ช ๐ I went with my family to Weston Super Mare when I was young. Brings back memories โค
What a breathtaking sunset after a lovely walk. My goodness you did some climbing that day.
Hi Louise. You must be incredibly fit to walk all that way. i really do enjoy your walks. you have a unique style. i assume you use public transport to get around, just as I do. The only difference being that my trips on the buses are free with my bus pass. That was a beautiful walk with some wonderful views, complete with a lovely sunset. Take care xx
Love that part of Somerset
Hey Louise, Which app do you use on your phone for navigation? Thanks
