Probably just surface rust. Clean the rotor and rebed the brakes and it is going to be good as new

Corrosion gives it character. Braking surface looks fine. If you don’t like the look, wipe it with rust remover, rinse, then brake cleaner and emery cloth buffing.

  3. Yea too far, time to buy a ferrari and ditch it too after a light rain lmao (its totally normal to get superficial rotor rust)

surface rust on a rotor is nothing, just ride it and brake normally and it’ll clean itself off in a few stops. dad might be intense but this is a non issue lol

The people saying it’s fine are right, but the real test isn’t whether you can see rust, it’s whether your fingernail catches on pitting when you run it across the rotor surface. Light surface discoloration wipes off with isopropyl alcohol and some light sanding, but actual pitting means the rotor is done. From the photo it looks like you got lucky and it’s purely cosmetic, so don’t overthink it.
