After my moped died its death, I decided to try out fixed gears. I always thought was cool but never explored. Finally now I can say 6 months later, that I love this thing. Through trial and error (aka learning the hard way) on how to put a bike together, I can finally say I am happy with this thing. Weighs just over 20 lbs and is a blast to ride. It’s my little mutt <3

No name frame that started as a whole bike I got off FB marketplace for 50 bucks

Also, if any of you see any glaring oversights or safety issues (some days I wonder about those dropouts) please let me know lol. Ask me about all the parts I cheaped out on that broke in the matter of hours. I have so much fun bombing around on this thing, can’t wait to ride it again.

Pretty cool build. Don’t know a lot about carbon parts but I wouldn’t worry about the dropouts. It looks like the whole nut is making contact with the frame; it’s when people have half the nut sticking out past the ends of the drop outs that it gets sketchy.
