Join me on a ride to Lullingstone and Eynsford in Kent, UK. It’s one of my favourite local cycling routes that I definitely don’t ride often enough!

After tackling the short but spicy climb up Rock (Well) Hill, I make my way to the beautiful Lullingstone Country Park. Once an ancient deer park, it’s set alongside the River Darent and is a fantastic place to visit for hikers and dog walkers, especially in the summer. It’s also home to the historic Lullingstone Castle, which has stood on this site since 1543.

A little further on, after stopping on my favourite bridge, we take in the impressive Eynsford Viaduct, which still carries trains on the Chatham Main Line.

On the ride home, I couldn’t resist stopping at The Velo Barn for a magnificent tiramisu blondie and an ice-cold can of Coke—very welcome by that point, as it was getting proper hot!

Just shy of 70 km all in, it was a cracking day out on the bike and a route I’d happily recommend to anyone cycling in the area.

If you enjoyed the ride, don’t forget to like, subscribe, and let me know in the comments if you’ve ridden this route before or have any favourite roads in Kent!
