Which would you choose and why?
1. Specialized Enduro 2023
RockShox ZEB Select
RockShox Coil
Shimano SLX 4-piston brakes
SRAM GX drivetrain (recently replaced)
2. Transition Sentinel 2021
Fox 36 (160/150)
RockShox Coil
Shimano XT drivetrain
Shimano XT 4-piston brakes
3. Nukeproof Mega 2022
RockShox ZEB Ultimate
Öhlins rear shock
SRAM GX drivetrain
SRAM Code R brakes
All three are in excellent condition, fit me perfectly, and cost exactly the same.
I’m only interested in the bike itself: frame quality, suspension kinematics, geometry, ride quality, durability, reliability, and overall performance.

    The Sentinel.

This bike is far more versatile in in how it can be built than the other two.

The Enduro and Mega re dedicated race sleds.

The Sentinel is an all mountain performer than can be tuned to be an enduro racer or a light trail bike for long adventures.

Plus, its got the nicest lines of the group.

  2. The transition is going to be the most “playful” of the 3. The nukeproof and specialized are more pure Enduro/dh bikes where the rear wheel will feel more stuck to the ground, and are gonna take more effort to pedal up any sort of incline. The transition is a Trail/Enduro bike with a better parts spec(except fork). I am really partial to the Zeb tho.

No matter what the parts spec is, it doesn’t matter if it’s not been serviced!

  3. Dont have experience with Transition or Enduro but I have this model of Nukeproof albeit with different components and it’s an absolute sled. Super fast down the steep loose stuff and pretty confidence inspiring but not very poppy or efficient.

  4. Not Specialized. IMO.

If you want a Downhill-Enduro. Nukeproof. (That Ohlins is tasty)

If you want a Enduro-Trail. Sentinel. This truly is a one bike, do all.

Both companies are awesome, both bikes are tough as hell. Especially the nuke.
