Since 1990, 120 police officers have died whilst on duty, infact in the last 125 years police deaths do not match civilian deaths of the last 35 yrs yet officer safety is their only priority, heck with the public. Currently there are 386 met police officers employed with criminal records, there are 87 met police officers currently under criminal investigation. 70 senior ranking police officers nationwide have resigned for criminal misconduct and yet they take every opportunity to criminalise members of the public for nothing. Who caused the gap of mistrust? the public or the police? If a bus load of tourists stopped and started taking pictures, the police would pose…..one Brit and they show just what they are.

The fact that these officers don’t have the basic understanding of their own policies, let alone the law, is embarrassing. And then they wonder why the public has no respect or confidence in them. I guess there are no motorcyclists riding on motorbikes with licence plates or not wearing helmets for the police to catch. As an aside the auditor's real mistake was not to tell the police they were misgendering them, they'd have backed right off. Well the police may have security concerns but that does not make the auditor's actions in filming illegal, they simply sought to intimidate and bully him.
