    My BMX days are from the 80s but I would say pedaling would make it much more fun!

  2. looks like you are off to a good start, you just need to use more force. try and stay more centered on the bike, weigh it down, hard, on the downsides. first the arms, really push it in, and then your legs, drive them hard. try and unload the bike on the upsides, really absorb the bike into you, that will lead to your arms and legs bending more and which will lead to you being able to put more force into the downside movement. like the other comment says, when you do it well it kind of feels a bit like a bunnyhop motion

    edit: also linechoice in the berms, go in higher and get out a bit lower from where you went in

    If there’s one thing that can help with pumping, don’t push through the bottom of the dip, push down on the back side of the hump. You’ll have more speed than you’ll know what to do with.

    Get your body weight more over your hands, it looks like you’re too far back, just riding. You want to actively force your weight down the backside to generate speed, then get light going up the next roller to keep your momentum. You want to time it so when your weight naturally comes back down, you’re over the back side of the roller.

    You’re really stiff, just loosen up your arms and legs. Learn how to pump up a ramp and well as down a ramp, you can gain speed on both

  7. Don’t forget to pump the turns. Enter the turn compressed and push as hard as you can against the wall. When the Gs start getting ridiculous you know you’re doing it right.

  8. Try to keep most of your weight more forward. Right now you’re behind the handle bars when you need to be more on top of them. That little position change will help a lot!

  10. You should bend your legs more to absorb the roller. The great thing is, you have a footage of yourself to see how much you bend your legs or use your body to pump, and you can compare it to other videos of people that are more experienced with pumping. When my buddy teaches people how to pump, if they’re not using their body more, or are too rigid, he’ll record a video of them so they can see.

    Some of your getting better is just getting **mileage** on the pumptrack. If you session that pumptrack more days, your comfort level will get better. And if you watch other good riders/videos, you can make progress. If there’s another good rider there, expecially 20-30+ something riders, they’ll likely be able to give you tips to help guide you.
