Alright, I know some of yall will be mad and tell me I’m not listening to or practicing what is told in videos on how to bunny hop.

Nonetheless huge improvement from what I had going on before this lol.

But I really need some help from other riders, I don’t have anyone else who can ride with me or wants to either.

I’m assuming it’s mostly the pulling motion (pulling to hip/stomach area for the bars)

If it really is just that I seem to be hitting a commitment block and if anyone has advice on how to overcome that please lmk.

(I’ve already fallen trying to get it down so I am committed to getting it just idk)

Thanks yall.

  1. Get the manual motion first. Bunnyhop is a manual then a hop. Similar motion to an ollie in skateboarding

after watching it in slowmo, it looks like the timing between your arms and legs is a bit off. your legs are popping the bike off the ground before your arms are able to do anything. it’s important to pop with your arms first, so that your legs have more leverage to get you off the ground!

Pull up hard at the same time you start going up from jumping. The bars should be pulled up as much as you can get them when they meet your waist at full standing postion, then you pull the back of the bike to even it out as you follow the jump through

Start a manual for 0.1 sec, then jump like the earth is on fire, but hold onto those bars and lift your legs up. Bingo !!! Lol

If you need, practice on grass. You don’t need speed, it’s safer slow. PULL! You need to get that front wheel higher. If you look at a big hop, the bike will pretty much be vertical before the rear tire leaves the ground. You kind of pull the bars to your thighs then you pull the bars up as you compress your legs. You are not there yet, but if you don’t get the front up, you won’t get the rear up.

  6. Learn to loop out first. Bunny hops happen like 10° before looping out lol. Your front wheel needs to be super high before you even start picking up the back. Like everyone said, practice manuals first.
