Nobody stole the license plate, it got torn into two pieces because of the corrugated road (called washboard in the US). And yes, everybody knows what loctite is, even me π It was not a matter of losing the screws. They are still there. The plate itself torn apart. It happens. All part of the adventure π₯
Bummer about the number plate. Bing is a pretty handy guy. It might be best to get it sent to him. You don't want to go back to Ulaanbaatar.

My license plate got stolen off my truck at the movies. 2005. I think it cost me 5 dollars to get a new one

Mount a License plate , on a thick metal plate, supported by two thick metal strips , and put very thick bolts , those bolts dare to break too.

I try to send things to a friend in Mongolia (English books, calendar for new year). Good luck getting a parcel by international post, it works most of the time but not always.

I've been a biker since I was 151/2 years old. now I'm 79 and still ride one of three bikes but your adventures make me feel like i'm still on a tricycle. I admire you and in male venacular, you have a set!
Corrugations is caused from vehicle traffic; when a vehicle bounces over a bump it creates an indentation on the other side of the bump. How can that be so washboarded in such a desolate place? You are so good with getting off track! You know βevenβ on my iPad your video quality is excellent.

The fatigue life of all metals is a known fact if you do enough research. The thin metal on the tag gave up from fatigue from vibrations. I haven't seen that since I owned a 57 Harley Sportster. π
