I bought this bike used, and took a gamble on the saddle height, since it’s basically fixed. It’s in it’s highest setting, but I’m missing like a centimeter in height. Any ideas on how I could gain a little more height?
I thought of taking out the insoles of my shoes. My bibs already have thick padding. ChatGPT said to move back my cleats, would that help?
Any help is appreciated

  1. With a stack like that and maxed saddle, you likely need a bigger bike.

    Thick seat pad, insoles, that’s…..ridiculous.

(Giant may have might a longer seat cap, search for that, otherwise new bike time)

2019 TCR Advanced SL Spacers is what you need. You can get them from Giant Spares online, you can raise it until the minimum insertion line which is about 20mm.

  3. Giant had spacers for those seat posts that went up to 20mm extra. Do you have them? If not I’d go to giant store as the mechanics there might have had this before.

I’ve always wondered if the seat clamp could be modified on those bikes as a way of making them longer, or if you could make some kind of slip extender. It would be heaps of work though and it may cause that isp to crack as well.

Why can’t you just raise it? It looks really low

Edit: got it now, the frame provides most of the seat tube. This is really a good example of “improvements” which are actually not improvements. Give me a traditional seat tube bike anyway. We’re not tour de france cyclists.

Is there some saddles out there with a greater distance from the saddle rails to the top of the saddle? Most likely bloated hybrid bike saddles, but you might find something that still looks sleek.
