Helpful review as always. New bike Tony? And on the final reviews who makes the mustard jacket?
I have had my Kreiga R30 for about 10 years; used most days for commuting, one new waterproof liner in that time, the rest of the bag is good. Great piece of kit.
SW motech bags-> Pro Cosmo and Daily WP. i recommend it 100% 👍
bought the kriega r30 just before covid think it was £160 I felt was expensive at that price but more than £200 now. If I hadn't been using kreiga bags for years now and knew they where built to last I wouldn't go near it sadly because it is top notch for a bag.
Wow £145 for a 20 litre rucksack that's not even waterproof 😮 and I thought nearly 70 quid for a 20 litre Oxford was expensive 😂
Kriega are brilliant bags but their prices are nothing short of insanity this is from an owner of a R15 and a R30.
I've had my R20 for over 5 years now — no complaints so far. It’s perfect for short motorcycle trips, my daily bycycle bike commute, and for travels where only personal items are allowed. I can recommend it to everyone. The carrying system is truly unique, and with the 10-year warranty, I’m happy to pay the premium price.
ive just used my backpack i got off amazon as my daily use back for over a dacade in all weathers cost me £40 😀
one day when it dies i might upgrade to one of these
I paid 90 quid for my R30 nearly ten years ago, was in a sale. I’ve hardly used it but when going away for a few days it’s always part of my luggage. Excellent bit of kit and at over 200 quid today a bit of a bargain to boot…Pity Kreiga don’t do compartments for laptops and bits.
The best is Kriega. Hands down except for being a bit pricey. No one can beat their quality and practicality
It's 11th January, this should be best of 2025
Carrying a bag on your back while riding a bike is a pain.
Many years ago it was possible to lay your rucksack on the petrol tank and bungee it into place, effectively creating a large tank bag.
Most modern bikes have tanks which make this difficult if not impossible which is a pity as now you have to carry it on your back unless you don’t have a pillion in which case it can be bungeed to the pillion seat unless your modern bike has a seat so small as to prevent this.
Jeez, when did things get so complicated?
£229 & outer pockets not waterproof. No . Oxford aqua is the one I think . Cheers guys. Very helpful info.
One to consider but not sold by SBS is the Lomo range. Great value and great quality. 👍🏻
In a fit of passion I bought a Kriega Trail 18 (6:09). Nothing to fault about it but I almost never use it.
Reason being I bought an RSD x Kriega Roam 34 at the same time and it's incredible. I thought I would want the variety but there's nothing the R34 can't do.
SportsBikeShop did a video review on it two years ago so anyone reading this who doesn't know should check that out, but the expandable capability to fit a whole helmet blows anything else out of the water and makes buying way too much shopping a breeze (eyes bigger than stomach). It's so comfortable when full I've carried weights I really shouldn't.
The whole thing is practically waterproof, I've worn it in the rain and yet to encounter an issue in any part. There's a certified rolltop waterproof section for laptops (or plenty of precious things).
The front pocket has pouches and zips to carry all sorts conveniently, and the outer flap has a soft lining for whatever you may want safe and/or quick access to.
It didn't make this list because there are a lot of strong contenders here (and I appreciate the non-AI review analysis in the video), but I would highly recommend it. It does everything, so, honestly, I only ever sometimes wear my other bags out of sympathy.

What is the model of the Suziki?
Use any old half decent and comfortable rucksack with a chest strap, and then stick a thick bin liner in it for waterproofing. Documents in outer pockets can go in a small ziplock bag like the ones you’ve probably got in your kitchen for food. Worked for me in the Army for donkeys years…pissing rain for days on end and river crossing etc.
My old rucksack/patrol pack was a fraction of the price of a small Kriega and gets used for shopping, hillwalking, wading around in rivers fly fishing, cycling and on the motorbike.
Unless you’re carrying half your life in the sack everyday and over long distances, the fancy weight distribution chest closure systems don’t make a difference at all. And as for waist belts, he even says it himself, small light packs don’t really need them.
Spend the cash you’ve saved on petrol, oil and tyres.
Ridiculous pricing for a Kriega bag, I had an R30 and ended up selling it on ebay, as I just couldn't get comfortable with it
