Here is the short story :
André Sablière is a very famous vintage frame maker, from Lyon, and Saint-Étienne. He really made some of the best frames carbon, metal and alu from the 60 to maybe 90's.
In April 88, he offered a complete bike to Jacques Chirac, the french president. Chirac was a huge cycling fan.
They met in a very famous french restaurant in Lyon and Sablière made the beautiful present to the president.
But…
Chirac had to go back to Paris by plane and he gave the bike to a local political guy.
And there is this bike…
(The letter pictured is from the french president, to thank Sablière for his present…and I joined the only known picture from 1988 of the bike in new condition)
