The adventure gathers pace! In this leg of our Balkan expedition, fortune was on our side as we managed to ride the legendary Transalpina for a second time—and this time, the weather was absolutely perfect. The vistas that were previously shrouded in mist finally revealed themselves in all their glory.
From there, we push southward, crossing borders and soaking in the atmosphere of new territories. We traverse Serbia, stop for a brief lunch in Vidin, Bulgaria, right along the banks of the Danube, before finally reaching one of the most stunning destinations on our route: Lake Ohrid in North Macedonia.
