This was our first overnight adventure.
We travelled on a ferry from Sandbanks to Studland; ended up accidentally joining a charity triathlon; climbed a mountain and randomly met YouTuber Keep Smiling Adventures near the top, which was UTTERLY ridiculous because I have watched all of his videos and they are directly responsible for informing and encouraging the very adventure I was on; fell at the mercy of a kind tollbooth lady whose emergency sun tan lotion saved me from death; spent some hours in the bay looking at stuff; cried my way up a couple of hills in the middle of a military firing range, and eventually settled for the night somewhere in the vicinity of Wareham.
Loxley (my bicycle) is a fully customised Raleigh Sherwood (2021), with a bunch of vintage and retro hardware, complete with Tannus Airless tyres. She is my best friend.
Our tent is the Big Agnes Blacktail 2 Hotel (bikepacking), and it was fantastic. Loxley has her own bedroom in the garage-sized vestibule to keep her safe.
Loxley's pannier bags are made by Temple Cycles. They are waterproof and vegan, with lots of space, and aluminium hardware. I highly recommend them.
