  1. I can’t imagine it’s anything other than a standard BSA bottom bracket. You may just need to chase the threads with a tap.

    Italian thread? French thread? BSA? Cups on the correct sides? Threads chased?

  4. That frame absolutely has BSA threads. 36x24tpi is Italian, not BSA. You have the wrong bottom bracket.

    Step 1: are you 100% certain that you have the correct bottom bracket?
    Step 2: are you sure you are installing the correct sides AND the correct direction?

    You should be able to thread them by hand and then get the tool once you reach the threadlock (blue part).
    Both sides should thread by turning: counter-clockwise for the left side & clockwise for the right side (drivetrain).
