I do a lot of estate work on the side – and just love old stuff in general. There was an older fella in a well to do neighborhood who gave me these for free. He’s moving in a couple of weeks after nearly 60 years in the same house. The bikes have been kept indoors. I took one look at the seats and said yes I’ll take em.
Currently taking them to the local shop for a tune up and good cleaning. Says $110 per bike plus parts. Thought it seemed fair…
So how’d I do?
Normally I would flip these but my wife wants bicycles so we can ride with the kids. They appear to be smooth riders and just by looking at the paint they’re fairly new. We are going to clean up and keep. I love how much character they have!
