That really depends on what you plan to use it for.

You say you are looking for an older Trek street bike? Why? Are you looking for functionality or looks?

$400 isn’t a completely absurd ask but that thing looks like it’s been ridden more than just a bit.

The frame itself is cool but I’d expect some lurking issues that may not be apparent right away that will end up costing a few hundred to fully solve.

  2. There are a few oddities, that you’d probably want to get fixed and consider…
    – The brake cabling is too long and not routed neatly.
    – That brake cabling on the right shifter looks like it’d get in your way of navigating your hands on the bars
    – The hoods are too high up making it awkward (maybe even to brake)
    – If you move the hoods to a proper position, you will want to retape the bars

Then, the gearing on it is pretty antiquated. You’ll be good on flat roads but it’ll be a bit difficult on hills

Probably like $300? But even then, consider the work you may want to have done on those brake lines and hoods

  3. if you have been looking for an early 80s steel trek, it fits you, and you love the way it looks.  It’s worth it.

    Otherwise that’s a $200 bike.
