Recently picked up an 1982 trek 730 and have been working on getting it in a slightly better state. Part of my problem right now is a way too forward rear wheel (had to deflate the tube to take it off).
Does anyone have a clue what this stick thing is in the dropout? It’s the cause of the too-far-forwardness as far as I can tell. Is it safe to remove? How does one remove it?
