Situated in the heartland of western Germany is Cologne and Düsseldorf, two neighboring cities along the Rhine River with vibrant cultures and lively art scenes. Famous for their local brews, both cities offer their own signature beer that can be enjoyed under the dim lights and warm atmosphere of a community brewhouse. It’s hard to not have a good time, especially when all the locals are so welcoming and friendly! If you’re more interested in wine, a little drive south will bring you to Koblenz, a charming city in the Middle Rhine Valley, known for having some of the best wine in the world. It’s definitely one of the best day trips to take while in West Germany. Whether you’re looking for mind-blowing architectural marvels, authentic ethnic cuisines, or bold works of street art, this region will certainly surprise you with it all. Join us for an exhilarating 72 hours in Cologne, Düsseldorf, & Koblenz! 🇩🇪
A special thanks to the German National Tourism Board for hosting us in the Middle Rhine Valley!

We STILL can’t get over how friendly the locals were in Cologne, Düsseldorf, and Koblenz! This was the perfect end to our road trip in West Germany, and if you missed our last two videos, be sure to check them out, if you’re interested in seeing what we did in the Middle Rhine Valley! 🥰 Again, a huge thanks to the German National Tourism Board for hosting us and for giving us the chance to explore more of beautiful Germany. 🇩🇪
Glad you enjoyed your time in NRW. I am British but live north of Düsseldorf.
They are not neighboring cities, especially citizens of those cities will insist on that fact. They are 40km away from each other and quite different in culture and language, also beer and traditions. The only thing they have in common, is that they both are located on the shores of the Rhine river. Leverkusen and Cologne are neighboring cities.
It's annoying that you guys don't mention any of the names of what you are visiting in the cities. Everything (museums, restaurants, etc) is un-named so how would anyone ever be able to enjoy the same experience you are claiming that was soo wonderful.
The hospitality in Germany looks so inviting.
I’m based in Cologne but work in Dusseldorf, so I’ve got the best of both worlds. Anyway, when I first pitched up in Germany, I didn’t have a scooby about the beef between the two cities. Made a right dog's dinner of it, I did. Went into some proper famous boozer in Cologne and, like a total muppet, asked for an "Altbier". The barman’s face? Priceless, mate, like he’d just seen a ghost or summat. Had me absolutely creasing!
Thanks you guys to heads Cologne, Germany to shows those amazing places on the streets two weeks ago in December of 2024❤❤❤I wish you guys safe journeys in peace 2024❤❤❤
Thank for bringing this amazing video to show the part of the world and amazing history and beauty of Cologne ❤
Wow! What an honor!!❤❤
When you guys wake up there must be a rainbow appearing over your heads…with unicorns tap dancing on it.
😂 I have never seen anybody who is this positive and amazed by life. 🥹
I hate Cologne. Would not agree on the people being more open minded or friendly than elsewhere and politics and administration suck. There are far better places, but as a tourist it might be okay.
Hi guys, love your videos! However, please learn how to pronounce German words – your pronunciation of knödel and spätzle in particular is torturing my half German fiancé!!
What was the brewery in the beginning?
What is the name of the museum in Cologne?
Is there a list of the restraunts that you stopped at?
Thanks for another great vlog!
Love your videos but it would be great to include the names of the areas, restaurants and museums please <3
How do you dare, not to take your ugly cap off, when meeting a true Princess ? My God, how respectless and uneducated.
Thank you for the video. I love videos like this — they give you a completely different perspective on your own country as a German
The animosity between Cologne and Düsseldorf is so intense, I´m pretty sure they´re serving Bautzener moustard in the Brauhaus.
Sad you mist Bonn, between Cologne and Koblenz!
Go visit Munster in the northern part. A smaller city but absolutely gorgeous and the unofficial bicycle capital of Germany in city form.
You are one of the best and most sympathetic videographers on youtube. ❤All your videos are informative, interesting and inspiring. As a German, I see my country with different eyes and think I should travel here more often. And I always get hungry when I see the typical regional dishes you eat! 😋But I must admit that I find Cologne very ugly apart from some places like the cathedral and the very small old town. After the bombing in the last war, not many old houses remained and the new buildings are faceless. But I really like the people there, they are more open and friendly than in many other German regions.
What is the name of the castle?
Hello Chad and Claire! Just so you know you are my favorite to watch. I definitely like Claire, I feel she is beautiful in and out! Simply elegant. Keep it up, I am following your videos and has helped me tremendously in my planning. ❤
If you had to choose one destination for the weekend.
Colgon or DisildroF?
Hello. Chad. And. Claire. I. AlwAys. Watch. Your. Videos..I love. I
Love. It. It's. Nice
For sure, Cologne is one of the overratest cities ever. Besides the cathedral its totally ugly and not worth to stay only a single day. If you focus on graffiti and garbage and you can be satisfied on a low level, mybe its your city. Yes, in know Cologne pretty well. Unfortunatly i live near by. Duesseldorf mybe slightly „better“. But on a very low level. Better to stay away.
Another ^Vocal Fry^ voice…sorry, had to punch out after 10 seconds
Hiya I regularly check out your videos prior to traveling. Would you mind listing some of the restaurants you visited in Düsseldorf? I will be visiting in December😁 Many thanks!!!
Great video, but please stop with the "sustainable hotel" while you jet set around the globe. There is nothing green about what you're doing or where you're staying. No need to virtue signal, people will still watch good content.
menu in europe is a set meal not a list of things to order from which would be the speisekarte in german
the 0,2 Kölsch is a "quick beer"! Like a refrschment!
beautiful cities
which one is more beautiful honestly koln or dusseldorf ?
