Hello. I need some assistance on which Bike would be better bang for my buck. Felt F75X Alloy/Carbon Frame Bicycle – Shimano 105 & Ultegra, CX2R Wheels, 2×10
Or a Trek Emonda S4. Both would need new sets of tires. Both have blemishes. Training for an Olympic triathlon. Half Iron Man next year.
Felt is 400 bucks. Emonda is 300 but the Emonda would need it shipped to me and I can't really see what I'm purchasing. I planned on changing Felt tires completely to road tires(not just replacing). How much faster is the Emonda and is it worth it. I'm 6'3 210. I want to do well but not actually competing. Side by side.

Cross bike. It never hurts to have a little extra clearance.
ETA just saw the bit about your size. 6’3 you should probably be on something a bit bigger – that felt looks like a 52 or 54. You should probably be shooting for a 56, 58 or 60 depending on your build.
They look like wildly different sizes. The Trek could be too big. The way it is currently setup suggests that the last rider was a bit small for it.
The Felt looks much too small. Something like a size 52-54cm.
You should be looking for 56-58cm bikes. Posting the drive side of the bike is helpful for us to evaluate them.
