Build up some more speed and confidence. Tricks will come naturally. Right now you look like you re just doing your best to clear it, which is a great start. When you feel that part come naturally, you ll have that sense of “hang time” in the air, and then you can start with the tricks. For now, though, focus on mastering the basics.
I don t fear the man that knows 1,000 types of punches. I fear the man that has practiced a single punch 1,000 times.

My general progression of tricks is something like
– one footer
– x-up
– no footer
– one hander
– can can
– seat grab
– tire grab
– toboggan
– no hander
– 360
– no foot can
– Superman
– backflip
Work your way through that list, skip any you don’t want to do

These kind of sketchy jumps scare me. Shitty run ups on flat ground that don’t get you enough speed and massive gaps that’ll bang you up good if you crash. Especially if they’re some diy jumps built by kids in the forest.

Just work on controlling your bike in the air. Whips are a good way to do that.

Get comfortable first. That first jump looked really bad with no bike control. The big one was way better but the control isnt there.

i’d say a no-footer is the natural next step. feels like you’re just taking a step off the pedals in the air, not too wild. i learned those on a jump about that size and it took me a full summer to not look like a panicked cat. the trick is to wait till you’re actually in the air, not on the lip. if you try to extend too early you just dead sailor into the landing. ask me how i know.

i’d get a bit more comfy on the jump and then send a 1 footer on a slightly smaller jump to get the motion then send it 😆
