Went and tried a Checkpoint ALR 4 Gen 3 the other day, loved the way it felt. Ended up going to another shop, tried a bunch of non CUES gravel bikes, as well as the ALR 5 which I enjoyed, and ended up also trying the Felt. It's a closeout in my size, but I know next to nothing about it vs the Checkpoint. They're both priced at $2300, with the Felt getting a considerable discount to be at that number. I feel like it's a solid deal, but wanted to see what others may think first before pulling the trigger.

  1. Cycle-Path-401 on

100% the Felt. Much better bike. Carbon frame vs. Aluminium on the Trek. Better group set.

  2. What are you buying it for ? If for touring and bikepacking the trek has fork mounts and aluminum which is more durable than carbon. It looks cleaner and the gear is simple 1by. If for gravel riding and racing the felt has a 2 by group and the frame is carbon. The look is subjective but to me it looks meh
