Ukraine has unveiled a remarkably simple new drone-dropped “fence post” bomb that could reshape frontline warfare. Designed to penetrate bunkers, anti-drone nets, and fortified shelters before exploding, this low-cost weapon highlights how innovation can outperform expensive military technology. In this video, we examine how the munition works, why Russian troops are reportedly alarmed by it, and what its emergence could mean for the evolving drone war in Ukraine. Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦!
"We dont know the name of the bomb" ofcourse you dont XD
They don't like up um . Victory to Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦 🇬🇧
DROP ON PUTIN!!
To be frank, I do not think the fencepost is a "penetrator". Velocity seems too slow for any pierce through action. It is not gonna bunker bust for this reason. But the explosive may be built to be radial, so it planting into the surface enough to keep the bomb upright could be providing improved radial dispersion for the shrapnel.
Modern version lawn dart
Voix IA EXÉCRABLE…INSUPPORTABLE 😮😮😮😮
We have to regognise that high end drones operating a 30,00 feet,, very expensive are required so to are cheap drones operating at 300 ft en mass are required.
The USA has focused on high end high level drones and not low level mass drones.
Thats why Iran has secured the Staits of Hormuz, and the USA has no answer.
Iran has effectivly not neen defeated in the air war, the USA has.
Guys a proper mix of High/Low Drones is absolute
While in the US, taxpayers fund the Beltway Bandits year in and year out for multimillion dollar systems to blow up mud huts. Viva capitalism!
Tallboy and Grand Slam were not really meant to hit the target, but hit next to it, causing a subsurface hole in the ground, causing the building to sustain damage or collapse. Dropping one on the Tirpitz is just an outlier.
You also confused the Fritz-X (a guided freefall bomb that sank the manoeuvring BB Roma) and the rocket boosted, guided Hs 293 glider (you could call it a missile) meant to attack un- and lightly armoured naval targets.
And the first gravity powered penetrators used in war were likely the flèchette invented by France and improved by Imperial Germany (some of them were stamped (in French) “Invented in France/Perfected in Germany”). Pilots would fly over infantry columns or trenches and open a dispenser, distributing the flechettes in a dense enough cloud to guarantee many hits on standing humans, giving minimal crosssections. These tiny, lightweight flechettes dropped from a few hundred meters will go through helmets and body armour like a white-hot knife through soft butter. Explosive munitions turned out to be better in many cases, e.g. flechettes will do minimal damage to normal structures. This does not preclude their use as submunitions or payloads of artillery…
Another example is the Lazy Dog bomb (Korea, Vietnam), easily capable of shredding through jungle foliage and co. Being just 20g of inert steel, they cannot produce unexploded ammunition leftovers, which makes them no less deadly during their use, but much safer afterwards.
Flechettes in tanks and artillery are used to this day, including Russia in the Ukraine and in the Gaza strip.
The ideas ain’t simple. The solutions are. As it should be. Slava Ukraïni! 🇺🇦
As a general rule of thumb one should avoid things with sharp points
So much for Russia covering their submarines with badminton nets and the like!
I can read and partly understand Ukrainian, enough to translate the name of the bomb depicted in the shot at 0:59 in the video! The two words read as 'analnij karatelj', precisely translating into English as 'anal punisher' Truly! :)))
Oh please. We’ve seen countless “wonder weapons” given to Ukraine and we are still supposed to believe they are somehow winning. I love it too though, and when Zelensky is gone I still expect all our news media to tell us that he won.
Well Done Ukraine ! It's a Shame the Cowardly Americans won't help You !
When Russia gets destroyed in this SMO, the world will be much safer place!
An O- fense post
🧶I had the view that the Ukraine was mostly rural farmers arming themselves… I never knew that the biggest ships in the Russian Navy were built in the Ukraine. It takes a lot of technology to built a warship. Putin forgot that a few years ago. .
I’m sure they have tried, but a small rocket motor or scram jet type thing that worked off a gyroscope when the ordnance is pointed down could make it even more effective. With that comes price and complication tho.
What I don’t understand is why Putin is now threatening Poland. Ukraine has pulled Putins pants down on their own. How does he think he will manage against several countries?
No cards? Looks like royal flushes and 21s.
These spike bombs can slice through any coverings now
Russia cannot produce these as their factories are being destroyed
Put wings on them
"This is what Ukraine does best. It doesn't need billions of dollars of budget." Okay, I get that you're aiming to entertain while informing, but that is literally the opposite of the truth. The EU is pumping billions of euros into Ukraine for the express purpose of them being able to procure the drones they need.
An English accent is actually a speech impediment
The first 20 seconds is the most truthful part of this video: simplicity.
The rest of this video is a pro-Bandera NATO cope.
Drones and their migration into combat have just proven that diversification of attack types is more important that ever. Russia's two biggest failures in this war are its absolutely FANTASTICALLY INEPT logistics and its constant use of brute force over and over and over and over….having cost them damn near a million losses on the battle front from fatalities and injuries.
0:59 the writing on the munition says literally "Anal Punisher"
War is becoming obsolete. Even the smallest of countries can take on the biggest.
Been waiting long for this comment. It be better you make podcasts. What you say is interesting but constantly showing the same images makes me turn of your posts halfway. Please try harder or do less so we don't get bored by same images every day
100mm is 4 inches in the colonies.🤠🐶🇺🇸
I strongly doubt that the spike would penetrate anything other than perhaps to roof of a car or a tent. There's probably a shaped charge inside.
I wonder how heavy it can be for the drones to be able to carry it.
“Ordinance” = a local law; “ordnance” = munitions. They aren’t the same word (differing by just one letter with the former having 3 syllables and the latter having only 2 syllables) and they aren’t synonyms!!!
Not a fence post. It’s a lawn dart
They are talking about how Russia might be talking about hitting Poland. Shittttttt… Poland has been preparing with competent weapons and training (and their care about their service members). POLAND WOULD FUCK THEM UP.
