I've rode it about 25 miles so far with no issues. I was confused because I thought it should have disc brakes but has rim brakes. It also looks like those tires aren't even made anymore.
Theres a Trek store near me, but I haven't rode in 20+ years so I'm a total noob.

It’s a great bike. It doesn’t need any upgrades, but a fresh set of tires would improve ride quality and reliability a bit.
Looks fine
Once you’ve done a few hundred miles, maybe change something, but it looks ok
It’s an older (likely around 2015-2016) Verve 3, hence the rim brakes, quill stem, and suspension fork. Likely [this model](https://www.trekbikes.com/bikes/hybrid-bikes/comfort-recreation-bikes/verve/verve-3/p/16366/).
As long as the bearings, suspension, drivetrain, and brakes are all working correctly you shouldn’t need to do anything other than normal maintenance. Keep it clean, and keep the moving parts lubricated, and it should last a long time. If they haven’t been out in a while it’s worth removing the pedals, quill stem, and the seatpost, and making sure they’re greased to prevent them seizing in place over time.
Clean & re-lube the chain, check cable tension, check spoke tension. The tires look well-loved but if you’re on pavement that’s probably fine.
If you’re feeling confident, maybe service the fork, change the shifter cables and housing and re-grease the bottom bracket & hubs.
Ride a month and go from there. Rear tail light day 1 though
