Wait, was this a mtb trail only? If so, did you actually go the otherway?

Até this wild horses? Were they not properly tamed?
I live in the South of Brazil, we have lots of horses. They are hardly startled.

Is that PQ Canyon?

Here in the New Forest the horses (ponies) run around loose and when you’re cycling past – frequently close enough to touch – they don’t so much as show a flicker of reaction. Sometimes you practically have to shove them out of the way…

I’m sorry are all these horse tamers the police? “Stop and dismount”. If you have that startled of a horse why are you taking them on PUBLIC trails?! These jackwagons suck

Dude, I get being polite, but there is a certain point where you have to stand up for yourself!!!

I’d just answer “sorry , you do not have the authority to order other members of the public around – and I do not have to obey you.” Also they don’t clean up the horse shit. That alone is enough reason not to listen to them

What’s going to happen if you don’t stop and dismount?

What’s the problem of passing by a horse? If it is so sensible that even a bicycle will scare it, it shouldn’t be out in public, that’s just stupid.

Looks like Marshall Canyon? So many horses on that trail.
I had the same thing today. 4 horses on a trail where I have never seen horses before (Blue Ridge in the San Gabriels). I was picking up scents of horse shit as I was climbing and right when I got to an intersection there were 4 people on horseback blocking the trail. They just looked at me like idiots as I was looking for guidance as to where they wanted me to pass. Boomer fuck in a cowboy hat just glared at me so I asked the group where they wanted me to pass. ‘Here but sllllloooooowwww’
These assholes think they are special, I don’t give a shit about animal abusers, I just care about the horses and not making their day worse, because they don’t want to be lugging some fatass around at 7500’ in 80+ degree weather. Fuck horse people.

Most of the trails here are built for bikers to yield to horses. Is it really such a big deal just to walk passed them?

I mean, she asked you to walk it past her. She didn’t demand or anything and didn’t seem aggressive in the video.
We’re all sharing the trails, it’s reasonable to *ask* people to accommodate you, and OP did her one better by just avoiding her altogether.
This isn’t nearly the problem that the other post was.
I do the same on my dirtbike when it’s reasonable, and if I *have* to pass I’ll pull it into neutral and kill the engine to coast pass. Same shit hiking on foot, even if I have the right of way. I’m here for a good time, not to fight everyone I come across
