I bought a new bike and was using a quick rack on my previous. I want to use the same quick rack on this new bike but the UDH bolt blocks passage of the axle. Has anyone came across this before and had a simple fix?
Take a look at the manual, the axle isn’t supposed to be outside of the UDH.
The little post just screws with the axle right up against the bolt.

Not sure, but Robert Axle Project usually has solutions for that sort of thing

Additionally, UDH thread pitch is 1.0 afaik. Don’t force that thru axle if it doesn’t feel good.

Restrap makes an axle mount system (the Switch) that requires an adaptor (which Restrap also sells) for the UDH mount–it has a bigger hole for the mounting end of the axle to pass through. Not sure if the Ortlieb system is the same sort of system.
Sounds like you figured it out and it was caused by the incorrect thread pitch in the axle. In case it helps, I’m using a sram full mount derailleur which goes into the udh mount. With the correct thru axle it’s working great for me.
