Saddles should always be tested before a trip. They are such a hit and miss. Only after you try one out, you know. Some saddles like Brooks leather ones are said to form to you as it scretches. I really love a local shop that has test saddles you can take out for a long ride to see if it works or not. After finding a saddle that works well, I'm so keeping the same model on all my bikes.
It is encouraging when you meet a person who does what he did by paying the meal, certainly wasn't expected but the help was definitely appreciated. Americans are very generous when it comes to this and the gentleman is a great person for what he did. Take care, cheers.

Solar panel seems such a nice thing to have. Electricity for assist and charging gear. Interesting to see how the trip goes.
