One year to go until the Tour de France Grand Départ 2027 comes to Cumberland 🚵🚴♀️
In July 2027, Carlisle will host the finish of Stage One (Friday 2 July), before Stage Two sets off from Keswick the next day (Saturday 3 July), putting our area on a global stage. It’s set to be the biggest free sporting event ever held in the UK, with millions watching both in person and around the world.
With the countdown now on, the search is now underway for thousands of volunteers to help bring one of the world’s biggest sporting events to life. More than 9,000 people have already applied to become JOY Makers. Get involved and help us show Cumberland at its very best.
Applications are still open. No experience needed. Ages 16+ welcome.
