I do a long day in the saddle and I pass through Riga in Latvia. I have personal issues with a lot of people around me so I rush to get out of the cities. I talk a bit tech about my bike and solar setup too.

I personally always like to see my front wheel and where it's going while riding, doesn't the solar panel there in the front annoy you? And have a good and safe trip of course! Kind of something I'd like to do myself but am not brave and strong enough.
Hur går det med Q-factorn? Är det inget som stör? Q-factorn på photon är 207mm om jag inte minns fel medan när man cyklar utan motor så ligger ett 2x system på 155mm.
Är du beredd på att dumpa motorn och panelen om det börjar krångla?
Jag hatar personligen skavet och trycket man får av vanliga sadlar därför jag cyklar liggcykel. Känns det fortfarande som att det var rätt beslut att inte köra trike?
Hur mycket får du ut av panelen nu när du har kört ett tag? Är det inte hopplöst med skuggningen från träden?
Vad är dina tankar nu när du har varit iväg ett tag vad gäller vanlig cykel utan solceller vs lastcykel med solceller? Tror du att dina åsikter kommer att vara samma när du är klar med resan?
I’m sure you probably saw Jack Butler’s series of his Sun Trip race, the thing that struck me as interesting was when he mentioned that he always avoided a full battery, because a full battery means there’s extra energy from the sun that you’re wasting and that energy could be spent propelling you forwards. I’m aware this isn’t the same deal as you’re touring and charging occasionally but for more off grid sections I wondered if you’d considered that aspect of it?

Very Nice. I am also building a GinkGo with solar. The bike itself is ready, motor and solar just missing so far. It'l get a solar-trailer as well as two motors (Grin). For world-tour with my dog. All wheel drive and recuperation-braking.
Har du några öron pluggar när du cyklar så du kan få bort det värsta vägbruset och eventuellt lyssna på ljudbok/pod/musik. Det finns ju trots allt många sträckor som inte är så intressanta.
En sak som slog mig när jag tittar på videon är att om solpanelen hade varit 200w så hade det blivit så bra youtube eftersom för stor del av bilden hade täckts av panelen. Var har du kameran? På bröstet eller på hjälmen?
Vad har du för luftmadrass? När jag ska iväg så kommer jag ta en Megamat. Bra sömn är jävligt viktigt och det får väga lite extra. Det är nästan bara i backarna man får betala extra. Har även funderat på haven tent. Hammock vs tält är svårt att besluta om när man är i EU men när man kommer ner till Afrika eller Asien så är där lite mer djur och insekter som kan hitta på jävelskap om det vill sig illa.
Sovsäck eller quilt? Saknar du inte möjligheten att sitta på en liten stol i tältet om det är riktigt skitväder? Eller du har kanske bara haft bra väder än så länge?
Typ Exped Outdoor Space? Invändig höjd behöver vara ca 140 cm för att kunna sitta på en stol av typ Helix.
Av all elektronik du tagit med dig är det något som du skulle gjort annorlunda eller inte tagit med dig?

You have a good and clean setup w/out clutter which makes riding a lot more pleasurable, how much does the bike weight w/out the cargo and are those 26" wheels? It is a unique setup and naturally the only issue is tight spaces otherwise it looks well done. Africa is going to be a very challenging trip with this bike especially when you encounter mud and places that are very dusty and full of potholes. Cheers. (From Arizona USA.)
You need to be careful in Latvia, as you could face a fine. The Latvian coast is a restricted area where you cannot simply spend time—staying overnight is permitted only at expensive campsites. Even stopping at a shop can result in a fine, as you are required to register your vehicle when parking in the shop's lot.
