I bought this bike in March. I am new to mountain biking, is this normal on my MAXXIS assegai tires? I read that they have two different components, they seem to be splitting at the seam, is this something that I need to immediately change, or can I send it? I have ridden this bike a couple of times on gravel roads and on a pump track, and I was planning to hit a local flow trail tomorrow, and saw the cracks as I was washing the bike. Tires are inflated to the pressure specified on the side of them.

No. Warranty it. Then go buy continentals
What pressure does it say on the side?
It’s probably too high for most mountain biking.
Warranty them anyway, but pop your details into the Vittoria or Scwalbe tyre pressure calculator and use what it gives as a starting point. What’s printed in the side is the maximum psi.
idk, mine do that sometimes after a year or 2, but i don’t care enough and keep using them till they lose all knobs and look like road tires
