It's been driving me up the wall that I haven't been able to find a professional looking, briefcase-style pannier bag for love nor money. Finally had someone introduce me to Weather Goods Sweden and their Urban Briefcase bag.

I work in a client-facing role and frequently ride in my work clothes. This bag means I can now leave the tray rack that came with the bike at home.

It genuinely surprises me just how difficult it was to find a briefcase-style bag that didn't look like a cycling pannier bag. I know that cycle commuting isn't possible everywhere, but I would have thought that a Dutch or a Danish company would have come up with one by now. Thank God the Swedes turned up the goods.

They also do a brown version, but I'm not brave enough to try and risk that in the UK, where it rains frequently. But the bag is waterproof and has enough space to be able to carry a 16-inch MacBook Pro, albeit outside of the padded container along with a couple of bits and pieces, including my lunch and a couple of other accessories that I frequently need for work.

If you're looking for a briefcase-style bag, then this definitely feels like it's the first one that I've found – and I've been looking for a while – that really fits the bill. Hopefully that doesn't stay the case for very long, especially as it becomes more and more possible to commute by bike in more and more towns and cities around the world.
