How am i supposed to finish my bar tape on the fsa k-force bars?
The thicker part of the handlebars end at an angle instead of perpendicular to the width.
Usually i wrap my bar tape all the way to the thicker part, making a almost smooth transition.
But with the transition being at an angle i will end up with a triangle with either no tape or a bulky section.
Is there a trick for a smooth result? Or is it just a brainfart from the designers?

As someone with k force bars, I wrap to the K and just use electric tape instead of whatever finishing tape comes with the bars. Yes there is a weird little bump at the most narrow part, but that doesn’t really matter.
I suspect that angle is intended to be the same as the angle you’re wrapping the bar tape at, so you finish with the last turn butting up against it and instead of cutting the tape so it’s perpendicular to the bar you cut it so it tapers to match the bump… then apply the finishing tape as usual, starting outside the bump…
Are running out of bar tape? Just pull a little tighter and then finish it at an angle. Or if it’s bothering you that much get different bars.
I am a strictly bottom-to-top wrapper of bar tape, but this bar is probably the one instance where I would wrap top to bottom.
Start with a nice clean wrap along that ridge and wrap down to the bottom then use the bar ends to secure, no finishing tape required. You can use a single wrap of double sided tape at the start to keep it firmly in place.
cut the tape on a bias to match the bar angle so the edge sits flush against that bevel, way cleaner than forcing a straight cut against a diagonal
