The driver saying “sorry “indicates that he knew what he was doing was wrong and that he felt guilt and shame about being caught out. I wonder if the points, fine, and insurance premium boost will change his behaviour for positive?

That's a new wrinkle! Because the guy was clever – held the phone where he could keep an eye on his mirror, to see Mikey approach. And it STILL didn't work. From my time in police staff on road traffic offences, I can guarantee: the camera always sees you before you see the camera. Always.
Mikey, simple fact is some people love you and some people hate you. I'm a fan because what you do does save lives. The trolls or haters ARE criminals if they break the law, but society is getting more and more lawless and "don't give a ****" which is terrible, keep up the good work.
Problem is, we can't report the Lycra louts as they have no number plate. That has to change.

Hi Mikey, the hit piece in the Telegraph today was laughable. The comments mostly disturbing. Unfortunately the author used riding on pavements or through red lights as an excuse to defend dangerous behaviour by car drivers.
Some people say "he wasn't moving, so he was safe". But the phone user is like a drunk at the wheel, sat in traffic. The trouble starts the moment they move off.
"Smart" car drivers are not!
